In 2011 the association was able to purchase a stronger "tri-pack" Jaws of Life pump which enables all three of the Jaws tools to be connected and operated simultaneously. This new pump will reduce the amount of time it takes to extricate victims from a traffic collision and help to save lives! Thanks to all who helped contribute to this purchase!!!

All equipment purchased by the Association for the Dorset Fire Department are donated to Algonquin Highlands Township. All vehicles are registered in the Township's name. The Township has ensured that all items purchased by the Association stay within the Dorset community.
