The Dorset Firefighters Association is comprised of people who live in the community and who are dedicated to helping their neighbours in times of trouble. The volunteers are the core of the Dorset Fire Department, one of three halls that comprise Algonquin Highlands Fire Service. The Department responds to emergency calls of all kinds, including medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents and of course fires. The volunteers readily respond at all times of day and night.
